I read. No seriously, I read. I don’t say a word, just read.I have no public opinion on anything. My days of tilting at dragons are long over. I am too damn busy with kids, the dog, the house and all that goes with it to even care.

By reading a number of sites, I keep my ear to the ground and can best gauge what’s going on with the economy. The sample I have ranges from upper middle class to hand to mouth. This way I get real world influences. I also read a few sites over the pond for the same reason.

Well I went and did it. Guess the old surly jackal is going to stay around for a while.

The new place is where I’ll highlight my pixies. This is what I am, this is what I do. I have the 20D and my four hot pieces of glass, the L series Telephoto zoom and Wide angle zoom and the two Macro lenses. It’s quite an investment into an obsession, maybe some day it’ll make me some money.

So here’s what I’m planning: A front page with some general info plus a pick of the month pic with links to other galleries. One will be password protected where I’ll put up pics of my kids and the family. You’ll need to contact me for that access. The others will be open to everyone. Other than spammers, all who want to check out how the photography is going will be welcome. I’ll keep the comment on in those pages, might not even filter them. That way you can call me a nerd or what ever.

Now I just need to figure out how to do all this newfangled web stuff. been a while since I’ve done all this.
